One of the principle tasks of each convention is the election of the Supreme Council, Pi Kappa Alpha's board of directors. The 2008 Memphis Convention has chosen the following gentlemen to lead the Fraternity for a two-year term until the 2010 Convention. To ensure continuing undergraduate representation, the two collegiate members will serve a one-year term, after which new collegians will be selected for a one-year term.
Patrick A. Talley, Jr.
(Armstrong Atlantic State, Eta Mu '74)
International President
Talley has served as international vice president,
legal counsel, Delta regional president, member and
president of the Risk Awareness Foundation, and
chapter advisor to Eta (Tulane) Chapter. He also served
on the modernization task force. Talley is a managing
partner in the law firm of Frilot LLC, and was recently
recognized as one of the Leaders in Law in New Orleans
and also BEST lawyers in America. He resides in New Orleans, Louisiana,
with his wife, Sharon, and their children, Sarah Ilene, Trey and Peyton. He is
a member of the Educational Foundation's Garnet & Gold Society and the
President's Council.
Kevin E. Virta
(Western Michigan, Epsilon Psi '83)
International Vice President
Virta has served as international vice president,
Great Lakes regional president, editor of the Shield &
Diamond, and was the Fraternity's executive director. He
is also chairman of the Fraternity's Finance Committee.
Professionally, he is vice president of business
development for Crayon Interface and is responsible
for developing channel partner relationships for the
company's innovative cellular software and service platform. Virta and his
wife, Tracy, live in Holland, Michigan, with their children, Chapin and Trevor.
He is a member of the Educational Foundation's Lily of the Valley Society and
the President's Council.
Mathew J. Forrest
(Southern Illinois, Iota Mu '94)
International Vice President
Forrest has served as international vice president, the
colony advisor at Florida Atlantic University and as
chapter advisor to the Lambda Beta Chapter at FAU. In
2004 he was appointed Sunshine Regional President.
Forrest also serves as vice president of communications
for the Iota Mu Alumni Association. In 2007 he joined
the well regarded state lobbying firm of Smith &
Ballard. Forrest resides in West Palm Beach, Florida. He is a member of the
Educational Foundation's Shield & Diamond Society and the President's
Council.
F. R. "Rick" Jenkins
(Texas-Arlington, Eta Upsilon '84)
International Vice President
Jenkins has served as the Lone Star regional president,
as chapter advisor to Eta Upsilon (Texas-Arlington)
Chapter and as a member of their house corporation.
Professionally, he is president for the Fort Worth market
for Southwest Securities, FSB, a full service commercial
bank located in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. Jenkins and
his wife, Trisha, reside in Arlington with their daughter,
Abigail, and son, Reid. He is a member of the Educational Foundation's Lily of
the Valley Society and the President's Council.
John A. Bobango
(Arkansas State, Delta Theta '74)
International Vice President
Bobango has served as international legal counsel,
Educational Foundation trustee, Cumberland regional
president, and was a member of the Fraternity's
professional staff. He is also a member of the Fraternity's
Finance Committee and president of the Risk Awareness
Foundation. Bobango is a former member of the
Memphis City Council and a principal in the law firm
of Farris Bobango Branan. He and his wife, Lisa, reside in Germantown,
Tennessee, with their children, Allen and Mary Lauren. He is a member of the
Educational Foundation's Founders Society and the President's Council.
Kevin M. Huddleston
(Nebraska-Omaha, Delta Chi '04)
International Vice President
Huddleston has served Pi Kappa Alpha as an
educational and recruitment advisor. At Nebraska-
Omaha, he has served as his chapter's president and
previously served as rush chairman and vice president.
He completed the Pike University True Pike Challenge in
2007. After graduation in December 2008, Huddleston
will receive his master's degree in architectural
engineering at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.
Whitney D. Zimmerman
(Rose-Hulman, Iota Delta '06)
International Vice President
Zimmerman has served as his chapter's president
and previously served as alumni relations chairman
and pledge class vice president. Upon graduation in
2009, he will receive his bachelor of science degree in
electrical engineering.
Kevin G. Knaus
(Kansas State, Alpha Omega '82)
Past International President
Knaus has served as international president,
international vice president, chapter advisor to Epsilon
Nu (Georgia State) Chapter, international rush director,
and was a member of the Fraternity's professional staff.
He is executive vice president of sales and marketing for
LandAmerica OneStop. Knaus and his wife, Elena, reside
in Suwanee, Georgia, with their children, Parker and
Madison. He is a member of the Educational Foundation's Oak Trust, Sabre &
Key Society and the President's Council.
Steven S. Heck
(Kansas State, Alpha Omega '88)
Legal Counsel
Heck has served as a real estate advisor, a member of
the International Rush Advisory Committee, chapter
advisor to Alpha Omega (Kansas State) Chapter, and
was a member of the Fraternity's professional staff. He
is also a director of the Risk Awareness Foundation.
He is director of international tax for Georgia-Pacific
Corporation. Heck and his wife Jan reside in Marietta,
Georgia, with their daughter Abby. He is a member of the Educational
Foundation's Sabre & Key Society and the President's Council.
