The 13th annual Bryan S. Clark Memorial Golf Scramble was once again a huge success with 80 Pikes in attendance. The alumni, both in attendance and not, showed their support by paying their alumni dues. The winning team included John Keller ’89, Dawson Updike ’89, Darin Holland ’88 and Trigg Mitchell ’92. The festivities continued with dinner and drinks at The World Famous Two Keys Tavern where the brothers enjoyed catching up with everyone and even making new friends between the different age groups. A big thank you goes out to John Franklin ’99, manager of Two Keys Tavern, and Alex Donoghue ’98 for sponsoring the dinner. The tournament could not have been such a success without all of the hard work by previous alumni association leaders, and the work of Larry Gatti ’93, Sean Crittendon ’93, Jason Rahmel ’02 and Will Gaunt ’01. All alumni are encouraged to update their contact information with Jason Rahmel at rahmelj1313@yahoo.com. Watch for information on the upcoming fall outing.

The Monticello Corporation, the body that controls the operation of the chapter house, along with a committee of interested and concerned alumni, have been appointed to develop reasonable and achievable recommendation for the most cost-effective ways to approach the issue of upgrading the chapter house. They are reviewing options for the chapter house which range from moderate remodeling to extensive remodeling to rebuilding or replacing the chapter house. All of these options will be carefully considered and thoroughly weighed, with information being shared with alumni as it becomes available.
ALPHA KAPPA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
Missouri Science and Technology
The alumni association continues to see increased alumni participation in their social and networking events and have seen added enthusiasm from alumni. The association, along with the Alpha Kappa Housing Corporation, sponsored a graduation luncheon for the May 2008 Alpha Kappa graduates. There were over 100 friends and family in attendance for the fifteen graduates, and the food and drinks provided allowed the families a place to relax after the graduation ceremony. This is a way for the alumni association and housing corporation to congratulate the new graduates and thank them for their hard work as Pi Kappa Alpha active members.
Also in May, the association held the annual alumni golf scramble which attracted 27 Pike golfers. Prizes were awarded for the longest drive, closest to the pin and best score. The association is looking forward to hosting the 2009 spring golf scramble. In addition to this event, the association has plans for a winery tour, attending a minor league baseball game and trivia night. For more information on these upcoming events, contact Chad Raley ’01 at CRaley1@hotmail.com.
ALPHA NU ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
Missouri
Construction is underway thanks to the more than 235 Alpha Nu alumni and undergraduates who have committed more than $650,000 to The Centennial Campaign for Alpha Nu: Building for the Future. The long-awaited renovation project, which will gut the second and third floors of the house and transform the chapter into state-of-the art student housing, is well on its way of reaching its goal of $1 million. With a campaign board of more than 20 dedicated alumni and more than 50 class leaders, Alpha Nu has seen strong volunteer participation.
But they still need more alumni support to quickly raise the remaining $350,000 to ensure the project is completed as envisioned. We also look forward to showcasing the project’s progress in 2009, when Alpha Nu will celebrate its 100 years at the University of Missouri-Columbia. Look for more details about the celebration coming soon! For information regarding the campaign, please contact campaign coordinator Robert Hankins at rhankins@penningtonco.com or

The Alpha Rho Alumni Association recently assisted the active chapter in identifying, selecting and installing a new chapter advisor. The group is now seeking interested volunteers to participate on an Alumni Advisory Board. BETA PHI ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
Purdue
The second annual Old Master’s program was held at the chapter house on March 1, 2008. This new program is designed to bring distinguished Beta Phi alumni back to campus to meet with the undergraduates and to provide insight into the secrets of their success. This year the group included Brian Doolittle ’67, Steve Mathy ’79 and Russ Strobach ’82. These gentlemen, selected by members of the Home Association and Foundation Board, arrived on Saturday morning and joined the undergraduates in a formal brunch. After recognizing the honored alums, everyone adjourned to the living room for breakout sessions. In a small group format, each speaker discussed the paths of their careers, the tools they used to find success and how their experience as a member of PKA influenced their journey. This program will not only strengthen the bond between alumni and students, but will also give back to the Fraternity by providing insight and assistance to the young brothers who are preparing for their own careers. The campus functions were funded by the Beta Phi Foundation, but the speakers provided their own transportation to Purdue.
