ETA SIGMA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
West Georgia

Eta Sigma AAOn May 24, 2008, the Eta Sigma Alumni Association and the undergraduate chapter hosted their most successful golf tournament to date. It was held at the Orchard Hills Golf Club in Newnan, Georgia. Over 60 alumni participated in the event, with the team of AJ Hocutt ’01, Chad Carter ’96, Luke Carter ’01 and Brad Pollard ’96 winning with a score of 13 under. A special thanks to all the alumni who attended this Memorial Day weekend event, as well as the alumni who sponsored holes.

The next ESAA event will be the Homecoming reception on October 18, 2008 at the Pike house in Carrollton. ETA TAU ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
Austin Peay State

The Eta Tau Alumni Association will be sponsoring a Homecoming Bash for Austin Peay State University Pikes at The Front Page Deli in Clarksville, Tennessee. The Deli, which is owned and operated by brother Brad Greenfield ’99 and his wife, Angela, will be the site of this year’s festivities on Friday, October 24, 2008, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Food and beverages will be provided. A block party will also be going on at that time in downtown Clarksville on Franklin Street. Later that evening, the alumni will make their annual stroll to APSU Pike house for more festivities and to begin the annual hog roast. ETA OMEGA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
North Carolina-Pembroke

Eta Omega AAThe Eta Omega Alumni Association held its 35th annual Beach Weekend gathering at Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, in April 2008. Thirty-three brothers attended along with 48 family members and friends. Business items included the potential re-colonization of the chapter at the University of North Carolina-Pembroke, which has been silent since 1986. Initial plans were also made for the second annual UNC-P Homecoming gala being held on campus before the October 18, 2008 UNC-P football game, at which time the Eta Omega Alumni Association will be defending its Spirit Award title from Homecoming 2007. THETA ALPHA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION
North Alabama

The Theta Alpha Alumni Association had a tremendously successful spring with a number of exciting events taking place. The association’s annual spring meeting was held during the weekend of April 18 - 19, 2008, at the fabulous Shoals Marriott Hotel and Conference Center. Eighty-five alumnus members attended the event which included a social on Friday night and the annual business meeting on Saturday afternoon at the chapter house where new officers were elected for the 2008-2009 year. The association honored chapter founder Paul E. Jones, III (Alabama, Gamma Alpha ’52) with a leadership award named in his honor that will be presented to the most enthusiastic and zealous alumnus member of the association. Dr. Phillip Langsdon ’74, was the first recipient of the award and immediate past association president Mark Holmes ’77, was also recognized for his contributions of serving as the first president of the Theta Alpha Alumni Association. After the meeting, a fish fry was held at beautiful McGarland Park on the Tennessee River for alumni, actives and UNA faculty. The association has also been very active in assisting the undergraduate chapter with rush by helping to sponsor rush functions throughout the summer. Association vice president Stan Brown ’79 was recently approved as chapter advisor for Theta Alpha and is looking forward to an exciting upcoming year.

The association has their fall event scheduled for homecoming weekend of October 24-25, 2008. THETA GAMMA ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

The annual alumni association tailgate party in Athens, Georgia, will be prior to the UGA – Tennessee game. More detailed information will be sent out by email very soon. The 2009 Alumni Weekend will be April 17 – 19 at Hilton Head, South Carolina, at the Hilton Oceanfront Resort. THETA MU ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

Over 70 UMass Pike alumni from 1978-1994 and guests attended the Alumni Association Gala and Academic Awards Dinner at Lucia’s in Boston’s North End. Two deserving undergraduates, Derek Kannah ’08 and David Waterman ’08, were each awarded a $500 scholarship at the dinner. Co-chairs Dana Cohen ’77 and Ron Grasso ’89 elaborated on the association’s goals, which include updating the database, increasing Facebook registrations which provides a valuable link to undergraduates, and organizing yearly alumni events. There are also plans for an alumni resource network which will help undergraduates with internships and jobs and provide resources for alumni networking.

The strength and effectiveness of the alumni association is closely tied to the number of alumni registered on the UMass Pi Kappa Alpha Alumni Association on Facebook. THETA UPSILON ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

The Theta Upsilon alumni will celebrate the November 8, 2008 Homecoming by attending the parade at 10:00 a.m., followed by an alumni luncheon at noon at the home of Beth and Byron Billingsley ’97.

The 2009 Fireman’s Ball will be held on November 8, 2008, at The Venue Banquet Hall in Cookeville. The evening will include an alumni reception beginning at 6:00 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:00. IOTA CHI ALUMNI ASSOCIATION

The alumni association has several events planned for the upcoming academic year. Mark your calendars to attend Homecoming weekend October 25 – 26, 2008. Look for the Pike flag at the tailgate party prior to the UConn – Cincinnati game on October 25, and join us on Sunday, October 26, for the annual alumni vs. undergrads softball game. The Iota Chi Chapter’s 15th Anniversary Celebration and Awards Ceremony will be held in March 2009. More details on the events surrounding this celebration may be found at www.ctpikes.com.
